Bella Hadid debuted a dramatic new platinum blonde hairstyle during a trip to Aspen on Monday. The 29-year-old model was photographed exploring the snowy Colorado town with friends, including Sports Illustrated’s Brooks Nader, while sporting the icy hair transformation.

Hadid layered a plush fur coat over casual black leggings and a hoodie, topping the winter-ready outfit with a $30 Wild Places Hat from Poncho, a Texas-based outdoor brand. Her quilted red Chanel tote featured a wrapped cashmere scarf from her sister Gigi Hadid’s Guest in Residence line, while Ugg’s $220 Classic Tall Boots completed the ensemble.

This platinum look marks a significant lightening from the honey-toned “supermodel blonde” color she debuted at Cannes in May, crafted by stylist Jacob Schwartz to embody “French Riviera luxury.” While Hadid has frequently switched between brunette and blonde shades throughout her career, she revealed in 2018 that her natural hair color is lighter than Gigi’s, though she preferred brunette to reflect her “darker personality.”

The model previously experimented with “Aspen blonde” during a 2022 visit to the ski town, but this latest platinum iteration represents her boldest lightening yet, surpassing even the temporary white wigs she’s worn for photoshoots. Hadid once humorously noted that blonde hair gives her sister an angelic advantage, quipping, “Blondes are so angelic. My sister can get away with anything.”
