Bianca Censori revealed in a Vanity Fair interview that her relationship with Kanye West began while he was still married to Kim Kardashian. According to the interview published Friday, West’s manager reached out to Censori after the rapper saw her Instagram post featuring a “digital mask with alien proportions.”

The pair met in Switzerland during the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to Censori joining West’s Yeezy brand as head of architecture. Around the same period, Kardashian filed for divorce in February 2021 after nearly seven years of marriage and four children. Censori attributed their romantic connection to their close proximity while working together, stating, “We’d be either on the phone together or with each other all the time.”

West and Censori married in December 2022, one month after West’s divorce from Kardashian was finalized. Censori emphasized she married him out of love, not for fame, admitting she considered leaving due to controversies like West’s swastika-themed merchandise sales. However, she supported him through rehab last year and he later apologized publicly for antisemitic remarks.

Censori described the challenges as emotionally taxing, comparing the experience to “doing CPR for months,” but praised West as a “great dad” to his children with Kardashian. She also expressed hopes for children of her own in the future. Kardashian has not publicly responded to the timeline Censori shared.
