Tommy DeCarlo, the lead singer for the rock band Boston, has died. He was 60.
DeCarlo's children, Annie, Talia & Tommy Jr., confirmed his passing in a Facebook post on Monday.
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our Dad, Tommy DeCarlo, on Monday, March 9th, 2026,†the statement began.
“After being diagnosed with brain cancer last September, he fought with incredible strength and courage right up until the very end.â€
“During this difficult time, we kindly ask that friends and fans respect our family's privacy as we grieve and support one another,†DeCarlo's kids continued. “Rest in peace, Dad.â€
Before DeCarlo's death, his family set up a GoFundMe to cover the costs of his treatments.
The page revealed that in September, DeCarlo suffered a brain bleed and underwent an emergency cariotomy, during which doctors found two melanoma masses on his brain and another spot on his lungs.
“The amazed us by recovering from the surgery and beginning treatment, but before he could complete it, he had another brain bleed and was hospitalized from November 27th to December 27th,†the GoFundMe said.
