Candace Cameron Bure opened up about experiencing significant challenges in her nearly 30-year marriage to Valeri Bure during a recent episode of her podcast. The “Full House” star described enduring “really low lows” and periods where they felt “stuck,” lacking the confidence or courage to address difficult conversations. She admitted they sometimes avoided honesty to prevent hurting each other’s feelings.

The couple, who married in 1996 and share three children—Natasha, Lev, and Maksim—have faced multiple rough patches. Candace specifically cited a 2020 crisis she doubted they would overcome, crediting their son Lev for guiding them through with biblical advice. While praising her children, she also humorously noted they “demand all of you” and can unintentionally strain marriages by pitting parents against each other.

Earlier in a separate interview, Candace acknowledged “times of deep brokenness” in their relationship, emphasizing that their marriage hasn’t always been “incredible.” She attributed their ability to rebuild and sustain their union to their Christian faith, stating, “God is in the restoration business,” and crediting divine intervention for their renewed bond.
