Cardi B’s close friend Ken Barbie clarified why the rapper’s boyfriend, NFL player Stefon Diggs, celebrated Christmas separately from her and their newborn son. Ken emphasized that both celebrities prioritize parenting their children from previous relationships. “Cardi has three kids already, and Stefon has his own children too,” he stated, referencing Cardi’s children Kulture (7), Wave (4), and Blossom (1).
Ken suggested custody arrangements likely influenced the holiday plans, noting, “If baby moms insist their kids can’t attend without them being present, that’s just the reality.” He dismissed recent scrutiny over Diggs fathering multiple newborns within months as old news, adding, “People have discussed these kids all year—why act shocked now?”
On Christmas, Diggs spent time with mothers of his other children, including newborn son Charliee (with K’yanna Barber), an infant daughter (with Cayy Benji), and 2-year-old daughter Shiloh (with Kennedy). Though Cardi and Diggs welcomed their son in November, the athlete shared moments from these separate celebrations on social media.
The couple, who went public in June and announced Cardi’s pregnancy in September, navigate co-parenting dynamics amid Cardi’s ongoing divorce from Offset. Diggs also has an older daughter, Nova (9), from a prior relationship.
Ken defended Cardi’s approach to blended families, stating she would never tolerate a partner neglecting his children. “Her fame puts her in the spotlight, but family comes first,” he affirmed.
