Guess has announced Chiara Ferragni as the star of its spring 2026 campaign, marking her return to the spotlight just one week after an Italian court dismissed fraud charges against her related to the “Pandorogate” charity scandal. Campaign images by the Morelli Brothers feature Ferragni modeling Guess jeans, logo accessories, and open cardigans styled over bare skin.
The Milan court acquitted Ferragni on January 14 from allegations that she misled consumers about charitable donations tied to holiday-themed Balocco cakes and Easter eggs. Prosecutors claimed her company earned over $1 million from a Christmas cake marketed as supporting a children’s hospital, while the hospital received only $58,000—a donation made before product sales. The scandal prompted Italy to pass the “Ferragni Law” enforcing stricter influencer advertising transparency.
Despite avoiding a potential five-year prison sentence, Ferragni’s brand value reportedly dropped 90% ($87.5 million to $8.75 million), costing her partnerships with major brands like Pantene, Lancôme, and Bulgari. Crisis PR expert Lauren Beeching likened Ferragni to “Italy’s Kim Kardashian” but noted the need for “credible brand partnerships” to rebuild trust.
Ferragni thanked Guess cofounder Paul Marciano for his support during this “delicate moment,” calling the collaboration a professional restart. The campaign—her first with Guess since 2013—will launch globally in February, featuring Western-inspired spring designs. The influencer, who pioneered fashion blogging with The Blonde Salad in 2009, maintains 28 million Instagram followers despite the controversy.
