The 75-year-old Levin noted investigators have established this geographic parameter but emphasized authorities cannot trace the email’s origin.
Nancy’s children—Savannah Guthrie, Annie Guthrie, and Camron Guthrie—released an emotional video earlier in the week pleading for proof of life. Levin revealed the note describes Nancy as “OK but scared” and aware of the multi-million-dollar Bitcoin ransom demand. The letter reportedly warns against negotiations or police involvement, which Levin characterized as “very specific, well-organized, and layered,” suggesting it wasn’t created haphazardly or through artificial intelligence.
During a Thursday press conference, FBI Special Agent Heath Yorke confirmed the note referenced Nancy’s Apple Watch and a damaged floodlight—details not previously publicized, potentially indicating legitimacy.
