Denise Richards criticized her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, for involving their daughter in a fundraising effort during their ongoing divorce. Speaking on Tori Spelling’s “MisSpelling” podcast, Richards called Phypers’ actions “outrageous” and “wrong” for using their 14-year-old adopted daughter, Eloise, to solicit money from strangers.
Phypers’ mother, Patricia, launched a GoFundMe campaign claiming her son faced financial ruin, homelessness, and wrongful estrangement from Eloise after losing a custody battle with Richards. The fundraiser, seeking financial support to help Phypers “fight for the truth and for Eloise,” had raised $60 as of January 8, despite earlier reports of $1,308.
The couple was recently evicted from their $3.3 million Calabasas home after failing to pay $84,000 in rent. Richards, who had already moved out amid their contentious split, accused Phypers of abuse during their marriage and obtained a permanent restraining order against him in 2025. Phypers denied the allegations and countered by requesting emergency access to shared funds, claiming he risked homelessness.
Richards declined to elaborate further on the podcast, stating she would share details after finalizing the divorce. She described 2025 as “one of the most painful years” of her life. Richards also shares two adult daughters with ex-husband Charlie Sheen.
