Blake Lively’s driver felt “uncomfortable” and requested a background check on Justin Baldoni after their first meeting. According to a deposition obtained by Us Weekly, driver Kevin Alexander allegedly overheard a “disturbing” conversation between the “It Ends With Us” co-stars during production. Alexander claimed Baldoni, 42, discussed his sexual encounters with women, stating he had “forced himself on women” and was “forced on” by them.
Alexander described the conversation as highly unusual, noting it distracted him while driving Lively, Baldoni, and another passenger. He recalled Baldoni repeatedly returning to the topic of sexual relations despite objections, stating, “If they said ‘no,’ he would revert back [to that topic].” After dropping the group off, Alexander told Lively, “Something is not right here. I would like to do a background check on him,” unaware Baldoni was the film’s director.
Lively later accused Baldoni of sexual harassment in a December 2024 complaint, filing a lawsuit the following week. Baldoni has denied all allegations. The legal battle escalated with Baldoni’s countersuit (dismissed in June 2025) and leaked private texts involving celebrities like Taylor Swift and Ben Affleck. Swift reportedly called Baldoni a “bitch” in messages and expressed frustration over being dragged into the dispute, with sources claiming she and Lively are no longer in contact.
The trial between Lively and Baldoni is scheduled for May 18, 2026. Representatives for both actors did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
