Ben Platt and Noah Galvin are taking their time when it comes to wedding planning.

While attending a screening for their new film “Theater Camp,” the couple spoke with NYC Faces about their journey to the altar. The pair explained that they are currently enjoying their engagement and are in no hurry to finalize a date, though they expect the ceremony to take place sometime next year.

Platt and Galvin first publicized their relationship in May 2020 after five years of friendship. Their initial engagement occurred in November 2022 at a Brooklyn restaurant, where Platt popped the question. In a charming twist, Galvin “proposed back” earlier this year, gifting Platt a sapphire ring to complement the one he had received.

The actors share a deep history, both having starred in the lead role of the Broadway hit “Dear Evan Hansen.” Reflecting on their relationship, Platt praised Galvin’s honesty and vulnerable approach to life. Galvin jokingly noted that he appreciates how Platt motivates him to stay organized and maintain a routine, with Platt playfully suggesting he acts as a “babysitter.”

The couple appeared at the screening alongside co-stars and friends, including Molly Gordon and Amy Sedaris, as they celebrated their latest professional collaboration while looking forward to their future marriage.
