Eric McCormack is required to pay his ex-wife, Janet Holden, $10,000 monthly in spousal support under terms that cannot be altered until 2035. A judge finalized their divorce agreement on Monday, which stipulates McCormack cannot seek changes to the payments before that year. The settlement also mandates that the couple evenly split earnings from McCormack’s projects during their marriage—spanning August 3, 1997, to their separation date of February 12, 2024. This includes income from his role in the sitcom “Will & Grace.”
Holden will retain ownership of a Los Angeles residence, two condos, and exclusive use of their Vancouver home for five years—unless she opts to buy out McCormack’s share or sell the property. McCormack, 62, will keep their beach house. The exes also agreed to share expenses for their 23-year-old son Finnigan and the costs of establishing a trust for him. Court documents revealed McCormack earns an average of $92,000 per month, while Holden makes approximately $23,000 monthly.
The pair first met in 1994 on the set of “Lonesome Dove,” where Holden worked as an assistant director and McCormack acted. They married in 1997, but Holden filed for divorce in November 2023, citing irreconcilable differences after 26 years of marriage. Despite their separation, they appeared together at an Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars party in March 2024, where they posed affectionately. The couple finalized their divorce settlement out of court in November 2025.
