Hudson Williams, known for his role in “Heated Rivalry,” revealed his fitness regimen focused on muscle growth and maintaining his physique, particularly his glutes. The Canadian actor, who plays hockey star Shane Hollander on the Crave/HBO Max series, emphasized his goal to further develop his body in a recent Men’s Health interview.

Williams trains five days a week—or at least three when traveling—with 45-minute to hour-long full-body workouts. His routine includes three sets of up to 10 repetitions per exercise. He prioritizes Bulgarian split squats for leg and glute development before transitioning to upper-body exercises like dumbbell curls, chest flys, cable rows, tricep extensions, and lateral raises. For core strength, he performs dragon flags.

With “Heated Rivalry” renewed for Season 2, Williams aims to gain 10 pounds of muscle before summer filming begins, targeting bigger shoulders and overall size. He cited co-star Connor Storrie—his character’s onscreen love interest—as inspiration, joking that Storrie might arrive “like Mr. Olympia” due to his dedication.

Williams recalled originally being advised by show creator Jacob Tierney to adopt a lean “hockey player” look but changed course after seeing his castmates’ muscular physiques. He humorously acknowledged Storrie’s notably prominent glutes, quipping that his co-star might want less attention on “his beautiful cheeks.”

The series, based on Rachel Reid’s novels, centers on rival hockey players who develop a romantic relationship. Season 1 is now streaming.
