In a statement to TMZ, Ortiz-Magro's rep said: “He was in the process of separating from his long term girlfriend, and it was at his request for her to call the police to ensure that the separation/moving out was peaceful, and because he's been the recepient of falsehoods in the past, and is in a really good place and didn't want there to be any unnecessary drama.â€
Not much is known about Kirsten as the pair kept their relationship under wraps.
The “Famously Single†alum has had his run-ins with the law over the years.
He had a turbulent relationship with his “Jersey Shore†co-star Sammi “Sweetheart†Giancola throughout the MTV series, which aired for six seasons from 2009 to 2012.
Ortiz-Magro stepped away from filming the reality series to focus on his mental health in 2021 after he was arrested for alleged domestic violence.Â
A judge let Ortiz-Magro walk free, but ordered him to take parenting classes and placed him under a three-year protective order.
