She recalled watching her parents, John and Maggie Griffin—familiar from her reality show—struggle to help Kenneth throughout his life, drawing parallels to how the Reiners supported Nick amid his schizophrenia and substance abuse.
Griffin alleged Kenneth began exhibiting violent behavior as a teen, citing accounts from his first wife about severe physical abuse. She also claimed a girlfriend informed her Kenneth had molested children, leading Griffin to label him a “wife-beating pedophile.” Despite family pressure to remain loyal, Griffin distanced herself, even reporting him to police weekly for alleged child molestation.
Reflecting on the Reiner tragedy, Griffin dismissed suggestions the couple should have hired security, emphasizing parents often exhaust all options to help troubled children.
