New year, fresh look.

Lizzo revealed a dramatic hair change on Friday, chopping her shoulder-length black curls into a shorter style and dyeing them brown.

“2026 is the year of cutting it off ladies,” the 37-year-old singer wrote in a TikTok caption alongside a video of her transformation.

Set to Olivia Dean’s “Lady Lady,” the clip shows the “Truth Hurts” artist playfully shaking her former hairstyle before flashing her new brunette curls. The video also features her dog, whose fur color closely matches her fresh dye job.

The Grammy winner has a history of bold hair experiments. Last August, she sported a striking blond-and-pink mullet with cropped front sections and longer layers in the back. In 2020, she made headlines with vibrant green hair during a nude photoshoot, accessorized with gold star embellishments and emerald makeup.

For the 2025 Met Gala’s “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme, Lizzo opted for a subtler platinum blonde wig styled in loose waves, paired with dramatic makeup. Stylist Jstayready created the look using Red by Kiss products and Vivace by Kiss extensions.
