Macaulay Culkin is grieving the death of his “Home Alone” co-star Catherine O’Hara, who played his mother in the film. The actor shared a heartfelt Instagram post on Friday featuring two photos: one from the movie showing O’Hara embracing him as a child, and another from his 2024 Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony capturing a similar hug.
Culkin’s caption expressed his sorrow: “Mama. I thought we had time. I wanted more. I wanted to sit in a chair next to you. I heard you. But I had so much more to say. I love you. I’ll see you later.”
O’Hara passed away on January 30 at 71. Her agency confirmed her death followed a brief illness. Paramedics responded to her Brentwood home at 4:48 a.m. on Friday and transported her to a Los Angeles hospital in serious condition before her death. The cause of death remains unknown.
