Law enforcement has released surveillance images of a possible suspect linked to the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, mother of Savannah Guthrie. The photos were shared after the FBI disclosed that Nancy’s alleged kidnappers failed to contact her family following the expiration of a $6 million ransom deadline at 5 p.m. MT (7 p.m. ET) on Monday.
The images show a masked individual outside Nancy’s Arizona home wearing gloves and full clothing. FBI Director Kash Patel stated that authorities, alongside the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and private sector partners, spent eight days recovering obscured or corrupted footage from Nancy’s home, including data from removed recording devices. He explained the video was retrieved from residual backend system data.
One newly uncovered image appears to show an armed person tampering with the camera at Nancy’s front door on the morning of her disappearance. Another photo depicts someone in a balaclava holding flowers, captured by a Nest door camera. The FBI confirmed it has no additional information to share currently.
