Ray J has made alarming claims about his health, stating he may not live much longer. In a social media video shared Tuesday, the 45-year-old declared, “2027 is definitely a wrap for me,” adding, “That’s what they say.” When a friend urged him not to dwell on negativity, Ray J lowered his head into his hands and lamented, “I shouldn’t have went this hard, bro.” He expressed concern for his family’s financial future but insisted they’ll be secure.

The singer, whose real name is William Raymond Norwood Jr., also directed that he be cremated rather than buried. He thanked his parents and sister, Brandy, for supporting him medically and financially this year, noting they’ve covered his bills.

This follows Ray J’s Sunday health update where he revealed he’d “almost died,” explaining his heart is functioning at “only 25 percent.” Earlier this month, TMZ reported he was hospitalized for severe pneumonia after experiencing heart pains—a repeat of his 2021 hospitalization for the same condition.

His health struggles coincide with personal and legal turmoil. In September, Ray J accused Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian of orchestrating the leak of their infamous sex tape, prompting a defamation lawsuit from the Kardashians. His lawyer dismisses the case as “frivolous.” Meanwhile, estranged wife Princess Love—mother of his two children—filed for divorce for the fourth time in February. Ray J also faces legal issues after allegedly threatening Love with a gun during a Thanksgiving livestream, resulting in his December arrest. Representatives for Ray J have not commented on these developments.
