Kyle Chrisley, the 34-year-old son of reality stars Todd and Julie Chrisley, was arrested on Saturday night in Tennessee following a violent confrontation with law enforcement. According to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched after Kyle’s wife reported that he was behaving aggressively and walking down the center of a road.
Authorities state that when they arrived, Kyle immediately charged at the deputies and began throwing punches. To gain control of the situation, officers used pepper spray and took him into custody. An affidavit related to the incident alleges that Kyle’s wife warned that he was making threats toward himself and others. During the struggle, Kyle reportedly struck three officers in the face and threatened to kill them.
Police noted in the court documents that Kyle appeared intoxicated and admitted to drinking several large beers during dinner. He now faces multiple charges, including three counts of assaulting an officer, resisting arrest, domestic violence, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct. He was also charged with counts related to retaliation for past actions.
This incident is the latest in a series of legal troubles for the reality star’s son. In March 2023, he was arrested for aggravated assault following a dispute with his employer, though his wife claimed at the time that he was acting in self-defense. He was also arrested for drug possession in 2019 and previously faced allegations regarding threats made to a former partner.
Kyle has long navigated a strained relationship with his parents. In 2016, Todd and Julie Chrisley legally adopted Kyle’s daughter, Chloe, due to his battles with addiction. While Kyle recently attempted to reconcile with his father during a prison visit, Todd Chrisley noted on his podcast that a full restoration of their relationship had not yet been possible.
