Located at 15 Cox Drive in Monroe, New York, the secluded property spans 38 acres of lush forest featuring private trails, tranquil streams, and ponds.
The primary residence covers over 6,000 square feet of living space, designed to be bright and airy with an abundance of glass doors and windows. The interior includes a library, a dedicated music room, and a professional home office with its own separate entrance. An open-concept kitchen provides peaceful views of an on-site koi pond, while the grounds also feature a barn repurposed as a workshop and art studio.
Abbott, whose portfolio includes iconic portraits of legends like the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Michael Jackson, and KISS, has utilized a wing of the home to house his extensive 30-year photography archive and a workspace for his creative team.
The couple purchased the land in 1999 and invested $1.8 million into its development, which involved constructing the main house, the barn, and essential infrastructure like roads and a bridge. Having completed this project, they are moving on to a new venture: designing a home on a 68-acre hilltop nearby. Abbott noted that their desire for a fresh creative challenge inspired the move.
