Kim Kardashian, Jimmy Fallon, Ellen DeGeneres, Jake Gyllenhaal, and other celebrities are fundraising to support frontline healthcare workers at Mount Sinai Hospital during the coronavirus pandemic, which has tragically killed over 10,000 New Yorkers. Donations directly aid medical staff battling COVID-19.

Additional stars backing the initiative include Ashley Graham, Alex Rodriguez, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lindsay Vonn, Adriana Lima, Bette Midler, Heidi Klum, Alyssa Milano, Julianne Moore, Claudia Oshry (@GirlWithNoJob), Devon Windsor, Debra Messing, and Jill Zarin. Participants use Flowcode technology, allowing donors to scan codes via smartphone cameras or donate directly through a website.

The Flowcode team emphasized that contributions of any size make a difference—$10 provides a meal for a healthcare worker, while $20 covers an Uber ride home after grueling shifts. The campaign has reportedly raised nearly $1 million so far.

Mount Sinai Health System stated, “Our clinicians care for the rising number of NYC patients, and our researchers develop tests and seek a vaccine. We have the expertise to tackle this challenge. The need is urgent—NYC is the virus epicenter, and Mount Sinai is NYC’s epicenter. Thank you for your partnership during these difficult times.”
