Inmates, including high-profile figures like accused murderer Luigi Mangione, convicted sex offender Sean “Diddy” Combs, and Jeffrey Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, will have access to Thanksgiving meals while behind bars this year.
Combs, serving a four-year sentence at New Jersey’s Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix for transporting prostitutes, is reportedly organizing an upgraded holiday dinner for himself and fellow inmates. His representative stated the meal—featuring turkey, stuffing, and traditional sides—aims to foster “dignity, normalcy, and community” during the holiday. Fort Dix’s standard Thanksgiving menu includes roast turkey, cornbread dressing, sweet potatoes, and dessert, though the Bureau of Prisons has not confirmed Combs’ additional arrangements.
In Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, where Mangione, accused sex traffickers Tal and Oren Alexander, and alleged sex-dungeon torturer Howard Rubin are held, the holiday meal will consist of roast turkey, mashed potatoes, and brown gravy. Mangione faces potential death penalty charges for the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, while the Alexander brothers and Rubin await trials for separate sexual assault allegations.
At Texas’ minimum-security Federal Prison Camp Bryan, inmates like Maxwell, “Real Housewives” fraudster Jen Shah, and Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes will enjoy a more extensive menu: turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, cranberry sauce, gravy, and pies. The facility, nicknamed “Club Fed,” offers amenities like yoga classes and a gym.
All facilities provide vegetarian alternatives, such as tofu and veggie stir-fry. Maxwell, serving 20 years for sex trafficking, recently lost a Supreme Court appeal, while Shah and Holmes serve sentences for fraud and are scheduled for release in December 2028 and 2033, respectively. Combs is set for release in June 2028.
