A luxurious penthouse triplex in New York City, once leased by musicians The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye) and Bella Hadid during their relationship, is now listed for $35 million. Located at 443 Greenwich Street in Tribeca, the residence—known as Penthouse D—occupies a converted 19th-century bookbinding factory redesigned by architecture firm CetraRuddy.
Tesfaye rented the unit for $60,000 monthly starting in 2018 and renewed during the pandemic. The 5,000-square-foot interior spans three levels and includes four bedrooms, 4.5 baths, a marble foyer, a double-height great room with seven windows and a fireplace, a chef’s kitchen by Christopher Peacock, and a rooftop terrace with skyline views, an outdoor kitchen, and built-in amenities. The space also offers 1,000 square feet of landscaped outdoor space and one of the building’s rare parking spots, valued at around $1.5 million.
The building is a magnet for celebrities, with past and current residents including Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Lawrence, and Harry Styles. Developer Nathan Berman of Metro Loft previously noted offering discounts to high-profile buyers to bolster the building’s appeal, though current broker Jared Schwadron of Compass states such incentives have ended. The penthouse, last listed for $27.5 million in 2022 and later rented for $80,000 monthly, now reflects “the demand for the building,” according to Schwadron. Monthly common charges total $11,362.
Schwadron describes 443 Greenwich as a “generational building,” with some owners planning long-term holds. The penthouse has primarily served as a pied-à-terre for past tenants, leaving it lightly used since the building’s 2016 debut.
