Tom Brady shared that his divorce from Gisele Bündchen made his final NFL season particularly challenging. Speaking in an interview posted by MLFootball on X, the 48-year-old former quarterback reflected on ending his 13-year marriage in October 2022.

“My last season was tough,” Brady admitted. “I was going through personal family issues that took a lot out of me and affected my ability to play.”

After initially retiring in February 2022, he briefly returned to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before permanently leaving the NFL in 2023. Brady emphasized family as his priority in retirement: “I’d played for 23 years and wanted to be present for my kids’ games after they spent years attending mine.”

He expressed gratitude toward his teammates but wished his final season had ended stronger, calling it a “unique year” personally.

Brady and Bündchen share two children: Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13. He also has an 18-year-old son, Jack, with ex-partner Bridget Moynahan. Bündchen married jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente in December after welcoming their first child together earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Brady has been romantically linked to influencer Alix Earle, with the pair reportedly spending time together at a New Year’s Eve yacht party. His previous post-divorce relationship included model Irina Shayk.
