Blake Lively may not receive an invitation to Taylor Swift’s upcoming wedding to Travis Kelce, according to a report. Us Weekly shared that Swift, 36, feels hesitant about including Lively, 38, on the guest list, partly due to concerns it could spark excessive media attention.
Their friendship reportedly cooled after Swift became involved in Lively’s legal dispute with her “It Ends With Us” co-star Justin Baldoni. Private messages between Swift and Lively were recently revealed in court filings, leaving Swift feeling “exposed and kind of violated,” per a source. The insider added that their bond has weakened, with an “emotional gap” making it difficult to rebuild their former closeness.
While the two may have exchanged brief texts, they reportedly haven’t had a meaningful conversation in some time. Swift allegedly pulled back from the friendship after the legal situation impacted her trust in Lively. Representatives for both stars did not respond to requests for comment.
Swift and Kelce, 36, are set to marry this summer at Rhode Island’s Ocean House, having gotten engaged in August 2025 after two years of dating. Reports claim Lively hasn’t reached out to congratulate Swift on the engagement and will not be part of the wedding. The Daily Mail stated Lively won’t attend, clarifying, “There’s no ‘will she or won’t she’—she just won’t.”
The friendship between Swift and Lively, which began in 2015, had previously included double dates with Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, though the group hasn’t been seen together in over a year. Other celebrities, including Scarlett Johansson and Ben Affleck, were also mentioned in recent legal exhibits related to Lively’s case. The trial against Baldoni, who denies sexual harassment allegations, is scheduled for May 18.
