Green Day to Open Super Bowl LX with Anniversary Celebration
The NFL announced on January 18 that hometown heroes Green Day will headline the Super Bowl LX Opening Ceremony on February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The East Bay rockers—Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool—will kick off the game’s 60th anniversary celebration by performing their biggest hits alongside generations of Super Bowl MVPs. Armstrong called the gig an honor, exclaiming, “Let’s have fun! Let’s get loud!” The ceremony airs live at 6 p.m. ET on NBC, Telemundo, Peacock, and Universo, followed by pregame sets from Charlie Puth, Brandi Carlile, and Coco Jones. Bad Bunny will headline the Apple Music Halftime Show.
Good Charlotte Returns to Los Angeles After Decade-Long Absence
Good Charlotte marked their first L.A. show in 10 years with a spirited performance at iHeartRadio ALTer EGO 2026 on January 17. “LA’s home—it’s really nice to play a hometown show,” Benji Madden told Alt 98.7 backstage. Charli XCX released “Wall Of Sound” on January 16, the latest single from her Wuthering Heights soundtrack album for Emerald Fennell’s upcoming film. The track follows earlier releases “Chains of Love” and “House,” all inspired by Fennell’s reimagining of Emily Brontë’s classic novel. Charli revealed the director texted her in late 2024 with the script, sparking a creative resurgence.
