Kiefer Sutherland was taken into custody in Los Angeles after reportedly confronting a rideshare driver. The LAPD informed Page Six that officers answered a call about a possible assault involving a driver near Hollywood’s Sunset Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue early Monday. Authorities claim Sutherland got into the vehicle, attacked the driver, and issued criminal threats toward them.

Sutherland was arrested on charges of making criminal threats. Police noted the driver did not suffer injuries requiring immediate medical attention. According to legal documents viewed by Page Six, the “24” star was booked Monday with bail set at $50,000. He was released later that night at 11:30 PM local time and is scheduled for a court appearance on February 2.

NBC 4 News in Los Angeles initially reported the incident. Sutherland’s representative has not yet responded to Page Six’s inquiry.
