Mickey Rourke is currently staying at an upscale West Hollywood hotel favored by celebrities while crowdfunding to prevent eviction from his Los Angeles residence. Rooms at the hotel start at $550 per night.
The 73-year-old actor was photographed leaving his home with his dog and a duffel bag on Sunday. He wore jeans, a leather jacket, a cowboy hat, and his trademark wig as friends assisted him. Earlier last week, Rourke was seen without his wig while collecting deliveries outside the property.
Rourke faces eviction over unpaid rent totaling nearly $59,100 owed to landlord Eric Goldie, who filed legal action on December 29. The actor’s lease, originally $5,200 monthly when signed in March 2025, has reportedly increased to $7,000 per month.
A source described Rourke as financially unstable despite earning significant money through films and reality shows, claiming he lives “paycheck-to-paycheck.” His management team member Liya-Joelle Jones created a GoFundMe with his permission, aiming to raise $100,000 for housing expenses. The campaign has currently raised approximately $75,000.
Jones stated the funds would provide housing stability during this stressful period, allowing Rourke to maintain his residence while working to regain financial footing. Rourke’s representatives haven’t commented on the situation.
