Ne-Yo opened up about the effort required to maintain his “one relationship with three women” during Wednesday’s episode of “Sherri.” The 46-year-old “So Sick” singer shared that he embraced polyamory following his tumultuous divorce from ex-wife Crystal Renay.
He confessed to host Sherri Shepherd, “I made the decision that I was never going to tell another lie to a woman ever again. I own what I did in that marriage to destroy it. I decided I didn’t want to be the reason anyone felt that pain again.”
Ne-Yo recounted approaching his longest-standing girlfriend honestly, saying, “I have to be upfront—it’s not just you. I’d love for you to meet the others. If we can make this work together, great. If not, that’s fine too.” When all parties chose to stay, they collaboratively established boundaries.
He emphasized balancing group and individual time, noting, “Group time is just as important as one-on-one moments.” For occasions like Valentine’s Day, he avoids generic gifts, instead selecting personalized presents for each partner and planning shared experiences.
When Shepherd joked that managing three relationships sounded exhausting, Ne-Yo replied, “I’ve never been afraid of hard work.” He clarified that while his partners voluntarily committed to exclusivity with him, he doesn’t restrict them from dating others—though they’ve chosen not to.
Ne-Yo first revealed his polyamorous dynamic in March 2025, initially involving four women—Arielle Hill, Brionna Williams, Cristina, and Moneii—whom he humorously dubbed “my pyramid.” As of Wednesday’s interview, one partner is no longer part of the arrangement, though he didn’t specify who.
