Tommy Lee Jones and his family shared a heartfelt statement following the death of his 34-year-old daughter, Victoria Kafka Jones. “We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers,” the statement read, requesting privacy during this difficult time. It was signed by “The Family of Victoria Kafka Jones.”
Victoria was found unresponsive on January 1, 2026, in San Francisco’s Fairmont Hotel. A 911 call obtained by TMZ suggested a possible overdose due to a “color change,” often indicating cyanosis—a skin discoloration from lack of oxygen. Despite CPR attempts by bystanders and medics, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Police found no evidence of foul play, suicide, or drug paraphernalia.
The Fairmont Hotel expressed condolences, stating they are cooperating with authorities in the ongoing investigation.
Victoria, born in 1991, is survived by her parents—Jones and his ex-wife Kimberlea Coughley—and her brother Austin, 43. She had a brief acting career as a child, appearing alongside her father in “Men in Black II” and “The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada,” as well as a 2003 episode of “One Tree Hill.”
In recent years, Victoria faced legal issues, including arrests in Napa County, California. In April 2025, she was charged with obstructing a peace officer, drug use, and possession. Two months later, she was detained for domestic battery and elder abuse-related domestic violence, pleading not guilty to all charges. A 2011 theft charge in Texas was dropped.
