Travis Kelce sparked amusement after breaking a chair during a recent episode of his “New Heights” podcast with brother Jason Kelce. The incident occurred when Travis, 36, leaned back laughing at one of Jason’s jokes, causing the furniture to audibly snap. “Oh s–t! Are you alright, Trav?” Jason, 38, asked as Travis caught himself. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end responded, “We’re good. F–k. Taylor’s gonna kill me!”—referencing fiancée Taylor Swift.
Fans on social media found the moment “endlessly entertaining,” with one joking that Travis “crushed [the chair] like a pile of twigs.” Others humorously speculated Swift overheard the crash, while many referenced past incidents at her properties, including Zoë Kravitz’s 2025 admission of accidentally damaging a “vintage antique cupboard” in Swift’s bathroom while searching for a lost pet snake. Swift had lightheartedly downplayed the mishap at the time, calling it “a YSL ad and not a problem.”
The chair incident also resurfaced a December 2024 discussion from “The Toast” podcast, where hosts Claudia and Jackie Oshry quipped that Swift’s Rhode Island home needed sturdier furniture to accommodate her “big [future] husband,” suggesting Travis “probably cracked a chair” already.
Travis and Swift, who began dating in summer 2023 and got engaged two years later, are set to marry this June.
